Sleeping under the Christmas tree/betrothal

A Christmas tradition in my family is to sleep under the Christmas tree for a night, all together. Actually, technically, we sleep in the same room as the Christmas tree on couches and in sleeping bags. I wanted to pass on it  this year, because I was looking forward to sleeping in, but my family wouldn't let me. They put a big long pillow on the couch to make it more comfortable for me, so I laid down to try it out, and the next thing I know, my mom and little sister are tucking me in and telling me all the things they'll do for me if I sleep there. Apparently my little sister is going to be my servant. I love my family. Anyway, this morning my mom got a Christmas card from a lady she used to know in high school and college. Her son is a year older than me, and my mom said to me "Hey, you could marry him." Yep. My mom basically betrothed me to a guy I've never met. This isn't anything all that new. When I was about 5, my mom would say that someday I'd get married to one of my two guy friends, Benj and Zach.  My mom amuses me. She's also decided that my little sister is going to marry "the little Eagar boy from her class".

Random thought #6:Beach Arthur?

Did anyone else used to think the words to the arthur theme song said "and get along wit beach arthur" instead of "and get along with each other."?
